A little bit about us
Stephanie was taught to cook by her mother, Liz, who was Cordon Bleu-trained. Liz started her wedding and event catering business in the early 1970s, looking for a venture she could run from home while her children were young. From the age of three, Stephanie loved nothing more than sitting on a kitchen stool watching her mother cook, and that is where her passion began.
In 2007, Stephanie became Liz’s partner in the company, and together they carried on building its success by taking on new contracts at wedding and event venues throughout Kent. Liz passed away in December 2009, and it was then up to Stephanie to carry on the company in her name, which she continues to do with huge success.

Whether you choose a traditional three-course wedding breakfast, a seasonal roast or a barbecue, it includes staff, china, cutlery, glassware, linen and equipment. The only extras are canapés and evening food, if you would like them.

From first meet, we knew that Steph was a gorgeous person that would bring a steady calmness to our day. She worked relentlessly to ensure that the menu we created together was personalised to us and perfect for what we wanted - a relaxed, non traditional, family style meal that was packed with colour and flavour. We were delighted leaving our tasting, knowing that the food would be phenomenal! We had some really tricky dietary requests with a range of allergies to cater to but Steph had it all in hand and everyone could relax knowing they were safe! Every single guest at the wedding has commented to us since, that the food was absolutely splendid! Many commenting that it’s the best food they’ve had at a wedding. Read the full review from Victoria C.My husband and I hired Leave It To Us and Stephanie for our wedding at the end of May 2026. Stephanie was incredible, right from our first contact. She was so lovely and friendly and easy to get along with. We let her know our preferences for the meal (BBQ option) and she was happy with us amending/changing parts of the food to fit in with fussy eaters and allergies, including two kids who are celiac. She even cooked them chicken specially, which was incredible and really helped us to feel at ease with knowing that our guests were looked after. We met Stephanie for a taster session a couple of months before the wedding, so we got to try the food we had picked and make any changes prior to the day. My husband-to-be was ready to leave me for Stephanie’s cooking! We had canapés for just our after our ceremony, which unfortunately I missed most of (nothing to do with Stephanie!), as I was too busy being the hostess, but the guests soon ate them all, which is a testament to how amazing the food was! The chicken korma canapé that I did have was incredible, and I would have happily eaten every single one there. I would 100% recommend Leave It To Us/Stephanie. As she already knew our venue, that made it easier for us, with her liaising with the staff at our venue, and all the wait staff were lovely and friendly, and insisted on doing everything they could for my husband and I, and our guests. We will definitely be recommending Leave It To Us to our friends/family, all of whom are still talking about the food from our wedding weeks later!

From our complimentary tasting to decide our menu, to the lead up, to the day - she was phenomenal from start to finish. We were kept informed and updated with anything and everything was well-organised - a pro! The food was incredible. Rave reviews from our guests both in taste and presentation - every detail carefully crafted and delivered to perfection.
